This American Air Museum in Britain exclusive print features a photograph of the B-25J Tondelayo by aviation photographer Philip Makanna.
Poster Inscription and Print Details: "North American B-25J Mitchell, 44-28932/N3476G representing the 345th BG's B-25D "Tondelayo," assigned to the 500th BS, 5th Air Force, in the SW Pacific during her most famous mission. "Tondelayo" came under constant attack for 75 minutes in a running gun battle with over 50 Japanese Zeros. Her top turret gunner was given credit for shooting down 5 Japanese fighters and "Tondelayo" was credited with 4 additional aircraft when they overshot and crashed into the water. Despite losing an engine during the fight, "Tondelayo" returned to base safely.
